Western State, Fall 2013

Important Timeline for Admitted Students:

Apply for financial aid asap - fill out FAFSA and apply for private loans as needed; the sooner, the better, contact Financial Aid office for help and questions at (714) 459-1119. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
By April 20th – Make an informed decision about choosing Western State: attend an admitted student event, class visit, personal tour with an advisor, or Webinar to address all your questions and get firsthand information – see event dates below.
By April 22nd – Pay commitment deposit of $200 (non refundable) to reserve your seat. This deposit also holds your scholarship, if you were awarded one.

Note: Western State has rolling admissions; we will continue to admit students as late as June and accept deposits from admitted students as long as there is space in the class. However, we will not hold scholarships past the due date in the award letter without payment of a commitment deposit; funds will be reallocated to other admitted students. Scholarship funds are limited so awards for late depositors may be significantly lower or no longer available.

By June 17th – pay your second tuition deposit of $200 prior to registering for classes
By June 29th – register for classes
By July 15th – receive your schedule of classes, order books and begin reading assignments
By August 9th– tuition payment due; all financial arrangements must be complete for fall semester
August 10th – Mandatory Orientation and welcome lunch with faculty for all incoming students
August 12th through 16th – Introduction to Legal Methods program and “Oath Swearing” Ceremony – mandatory for all 1Ls; first assignments due
August 22, 2013 – main session begins; first week reading assignments due

Important updates, forms and reminders will be coming to you via email and mail in the upcoming weeks from the Admission and Financial Aid offices. • Please join us for this luncheon to meet and network with future classmates, current Western State students, faculty members and our alumni judge. RSVP required for Optional Tour at 10:45 am on campus and/or Lunch at Angelo’s and Vinci’s at 12:00 pm.

Admitted Student Soiree – Thursday, May 16, 2013 – 6:00 pm

Admitted Student lunch – Friday, June 14, 2013 – 11:30 am
