Career Services Office

Individual Counseling

We offer individual counseling to discuss career interests, job search strategies, networking approaches, development of a professional resume and cover letter, interview skills, salary negotiations, and all other career-related concerns. Individual 30-minute appointments can be scheduled via e-mail at pdavidson@wsulaw.edu or by visiting the Student Services office on the second floor and signing-up in the Appointment Book located at the front desk.

Workshops, Seminars, and Mock Interviews

We offer programs that cover a broad array of topics including career planning, resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing techniques, networking skills, social media etiquette, and more. We also organize mock interview sessions throughout the year to provide real-world experience on the skills needed to ace the interview.

Career Development Plans

Students have a variety of opportunities to gain hands-on legal experience and obtain part-time and full-time employment during their time in law school. In order to make the most of these options, we have developed a concise checklist for students to guide them in preparing for these opportunities.

We encourage you to refer to these Development Plans throughout the school year. Career Services is available to answer your questions and assist you in making these decisions.

Join us for this dynamic workshop to:

  • • Hear how our students acquire skills, hands-on experience, and make contacts to prepare for practice after law school
  • • Learn about exciting externship opportunities in various fields of law
  • • Hear from a panel of current law students and recent grads
  • • Meet and network with faculty members, current students and alumni

Lunch will be provided! An optional school tour will be given after lunch.
