WSU announces with pride that WSU students Matt Koller and Jake Soberal placed second, in the Cardozo School of Law Moot Court competition on March 7, 2010.
The WSU team defeated U.C. Hastings College of Law in the semifinals to reach the final round, where Fordham Law School won the top prize. Jake Soberal was also chosen runner-up in the best oralist competition.
Thirty teams from around the nation competed in the tournament which is held in New York City. The Cardozo competition focuses on intellectual property and entertainment law. Western State has 12 student teams that are competiting in Moot Court competitions this spring. These competitions showcase some of the brightest legal minds from law schools across the country.
