A “first time” team for WSU’s final 2009-2010 Moot Court Competition year was recently recognized for their written brief. Tamara McLaughlin and Kirsten Otorowski, both 1Ls, competed in the Inter-American Human Rights Competition at American University (Washington College of Law) in Washington, D.C., in late May. This competition for 97 teams from the Americas and other foreign locations was conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Their brief was awarded the plaque for ‘Best Brief in English’ and also achieved the 5th highest score for all submitted briefs. WSU congratulates these two successful competitors and can look forward to their future superior performance in competitions with the Honors Moot Court Program.
