How many credits is the Master of Legal Studies (MLS) with a specialization in healthcare compliance?

The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) with a specialization in healthcare compliance will require 30 hours of course credits.

Admissions Requirements

Students applying to the program must have a bachelor’s degree completed prior to enrollment and submit a program application, a personal statement, a current resume, and at least two letters of recommendation.

Students are not required to submit GRE or LSAT score, but any recent GRE or LSAT scores can be part of a student’s application packet.

What kinds of jobs do Compliance program graduates receive?

Graduates with a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) with a specialization in healthcare compliance have a broad range of employment options. Graduates will be qualified to work in a variety of healthcare-related businesses, including private physicians’ offices, hospitals, insurance companies, pharmacies, diagnostic services, and eldercare businesses (for example home healthcare, assisted living, nursing home and hospice), as well as pharmaceutical or device manufacturers, and food processing companies.

The same growing demand for compliance experts in the private sector is reflected in the public sector, creating a large and growing number of jobs in dozens of government agencies charged with enforcing these healthcare-related laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines. For example, graduates with a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) with a specialization in healthcare compliance will be qualified to work in a wide range of government agencies from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the FDA, OSHA, the FTC, SEC, and the DOJ, among others.
