BIOGRAPHY
Gialisa is a dedicated first-generation attorney who has built a fulfilling career in litigation, employment law, and First Amendment law at two prominent national firms. She has also taught college and law courses, and created the first classes on Sexuality, Gender Identification, and the Law at a local law school. She also served as a pre-law advisor at a California State University.
During her time in law school, Gialisa immersed herself in the community. She served as a student editor for the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy, was a member of the Christian Legal Society, and an actor in the Duke Law Drama Society.
Along with being the Director of Admissions, Gialisa is currently the Director of Admissions and the Editor-in-Chief of the Orange County Lawyer magazine for the Orange County Bar Association. She enjoys connecting with Western State alumni at OCBA events. Gialisa is also passionate about giving back to her community, actively serving as a Director at the Public Law Center, where she co-chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. Additionally, she volunteers with Women for American Values and Ethics, where she continues to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Founded in 1966, Western State College of Law is the oldest law school in Orange County, Southern California, and is fully ABA approved. Western State College of Law’s 11,000+ alumni are well represented across public and private sector legal practice areas, including 150 California judges and about 15% of Orange County’s Deputy Public Defenders and District Attorneys.
